Job Description
What you can expect
New Business Development:
o Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the freight forwarding sector.
o Act as the primary liaison with customers on all business-related matters.
o Obtain freehand business and proactively generate and follow up on sales
leads.
o Develop and implement strategies to penetrate new markets and expand the
customer base.
Client Relationship Management:
o Provide timely and competitive quotations to customers.
o Conduct regular visits to existing and potential clients to build and maintain
strong relationships.
o Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing inquiries and resolving issues
promptly.
Market Analysis and Strategy:
o Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
o Develop concepts and strategies aimed at increasing cargo volumes and
improving financial results on key trade lanes.
o Analyze trade lane performance and identify opportunities for growth.
Product and Service Development:
o Collaborate with product management and operational units to plan, develop,
and implement attractive products and services.
o Actively promote Rhenus's products and services to customers, overseas
partners, and internal teams.
o Transfer knowledge and market insights of trade lanes to overseas partners
and local staff.
Regulatory Compliance:
o Stay informed about changes in market regulations on trade lanes.
o Communicate compliance requirements and updates to relevant parties within
the organization.
Reporting and Communication:
o Provide timely reports to immediate supervisors on business development
activities and opportunities.
o Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and market intelligence.
What you bring
• Minimum of five years of sales experience in the freight forwarding industry.
• Proven track record in business development with a focus on "hunting" sales roles.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese
• Proficiency in MS Office applications and general PC operations.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Assertive, independent, and detail oriented.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong team player with the ability to collaborate across different departments and cultures.

Recruitment Process
